When we think of “food” and “beauty”, all what comes to our mind is weight loss. However, beauty is much more than just having an ideal weight. There are some specific foods that can help improve your skin health. Few of the foods that can help you look young and vibrant are:

Sweet Potatoes

Dead cells and cell turnover can lead to dull skin. Sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin A which helps with cell turnover. Include them in your diet and take benefit from it.

Tofu

Tofu is a great source of lean protein which offers a lot of health benefits. One of those health benefits is wrinkle prevention. Tofu contains isoflavones; a class of organic compounds with anti-oxidant quality, which help prevent the breakdown of collagen.

Note: collagen is a type of protein that supports the skin, connective tissues and bones.

Watermelon

Watermelon contains a colourful plant pigment with powerful anti-oxidant properties which can help improve your beauty by making your skin smoother.

Cocoa

Cocoa contains flavonoids which help fight off skin damaging free radicals. Cocoa also contains a nutrient called epicatechin which can improve skin texture.

Note: Flavonoids are a group of plant metabolites that offer health benefits through its anti-oxidant properties.

Chia seed

Chia seed is a great source of omerga-3 fatty acids, which are valuable for skin, hair and nails. You might want to replace unhealthy fats, which you use in muffins and other recipes, with chia seed.
