Abhyangam is an effective oil massage in ayurvedic system which is the secret to beautiful skin and effectively slowing down your skin’s aging process The oil that is used can vary according to the dosha or constitution of individual. In Ayurvedic system, Abhyangam is done as part of the Panchakarma therapy in Purva Karma or pre-treatment stage and is most followed by the Svedana therapy.

The benefit of Abhyanga are many as it provide you relief from, body aches, stress, dry skin, insomnia (disturbed sleep), brittle and lusterless hair, wrinkling of skin, creaking joints, general debility etc.

Abhyangam or oil massage is recommended daily for best results or on alternate days or at least once a week, preferably on an empty stomach or 1-2 hours after having eaten a meal.
