Eyebrows are one of the defining features of the look and appeal of an individual. An eyebrow hair transplant is a cosmetic and restorative process in which either individual groups or a skin with active hair follicles are removed from a donor site and placed on the eyebrow.
What causes eyebrow hair loss?
The following factors may cause the loss of your eyebrows:
- Poor grooming (over plucking).
- Accidentally shaving the eyebrows.
- Accident or physical trauma to the face.
- Chemical trauma (certain medications).
- Diseases which lead to hair loss.
When is it needed?
You may not notice the importance of your eyebrows until you have accidentally shaved or plucked it, or lost it some other way. In such cases, you may want your eyebrow hair to be thicker and normal. Though there are various medications which may help you with it, hair transplant is a definitive way to get your eyebrow back to the shape and thickness you desire.
How is it done?
Just like other hair transplant techniques, eyebrow hair transplant also involves removing hair follicles from one part of the body to other. Various minimally invasive techniques are used for the same. If you have partial hair loss or hair loss of only one eyebrow, the hair may be taken from another eyebrow.
In other cases, hair is chosen from parts of the skin which have similar hair to the eyebrows. In women, it is usually either the back of ears or upper thighs, and in men, the grafts are taken from the skin where the hair is as thick as eyebrows. The best thing about eyebrow hair transplant is that it is a permanent solution and has minimal risks.
