We live in such a fast paced and busy world that we no longer spend time with loved ones and family. Spending time together is a great way to build and strengthen bonds, and to de-stress. Though many adults may cope up with such situations, lack of family time can have disastrous impact on children. Here is why you must take time out of your busy schedule for your children:

1. Child feels loved:

Children need lots of care and emotional support at a young age. Children also need to feel important as they are growing up. Spending time will make them feel valuable and loved, and taken care of. This feeling of security is very important for a child and you must not neglect it.

2. Strengthens family bonds:

A stable and happy environment is necessary for children. It is a fact that children brought up in troubled households are more prone to mental and emotional disorders. Spending time will make the family feel united and strong, and will make the child feel the same. It will also make your child more adaptive to the family and will develop his/her social skills.

3. Boosts confidence:

A child looks up to his/her parents for approvals or acceptance. Whenever a child does something right and gets appreciated for, or when gets to know what he/she is doing wrong, it boosts their confidence. They build a greater sense of self worth and esteem.

4. Develops positive behavior:

Children who spend time with their family are less prone to develop risky behavior or do risky activities. They are also less prone to pick up smoking/drinking when they grow up. By spending time together, you will also be able to teach children etiquettes and manners. This teaching at early age will go long ahead into life, and you must not ignore it.
